Francisco Berreta
Attorney At Law
Professional Experience
Francisco Berreta’s passion for immigration law stems from its complexity and constant evolution. “I love how dynamic immigration law is—the constantly evolving landscape keeps me engaged and challenged,” he shares. The field demands continuous learning, creative thinking, and strategic innovation—all of which align with his professional values. But what inspires him most are the people behind the cases. With prior experience spanning both humanitarian and employment-based petitions, Francisco brings a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for the diverse paths individuals take in their immigration journeys. “It also strengthened my ability to approach each case with both legal precision and cultural sensitivity,” he notes.
At Fakhoury Global Immigration, Francisco is a key member of the High Skilled Immigration (HIS) team, where he serves a diverse client base that includes Fortune 500 companies, researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs. “The variety in their fields of expertise—from technology and life sciences to education and innovation—makes our work incredibly engaging and intellectually rewarding,” he says. He has developed particular expertise in consular processing for both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, as well as in EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions. These areas allow him to apply “a strategic, evidence-based approach that highlights each client’s unique contributions and impact.” Francisco’s ability to blend legal rigor with tailored storytelling makes him a trusted advocate across industries.
Francisco earned his LL.B. from the University of London International Program (2010), his J.D. from the University of Buenos Aires (2012), and his LL.M. from Columbia Law School. He was admitted to the New York Bar in December 2020 (Third Judicial District) and is an active member of AILA’s South Florida Chapter. Beyond his legal work, Francisco is a lifelong learner and dedicated educator. He holds advanced certifications in yoga (550-hour RYT) and Pilates (Comprehensive NCPT), and enjoys studying languages and exploring other cultures through frequent travel—most recently to Japan, and often to Italy and Latin America. His approach to immigration law is rooted in thoughtfulness, research, and clarity. As he puts it: “I see myself as a researcher at heart. To understand the uniqueness of their contributions, I take the time to understand our clients' professional journeys and accomplishments in depth, so I can craft narratives that reflect not just what they’ve done—but why it matters in their field and beyond.”
